Rep. Peter DeFazio's HR 1585 failed by a vote of 288-136, with 13 not voting. Those voting yes included 129 Democrats and 7 Republicans. Those voting no included 189 Republicans and 99 Democrats. Here are their names.

More proof the MSM likes the War Party
If one takes the time to scan the names of the MOCs who voted against peaceful alternatives (I assume this is true since Fazio's language is missing from the above post), one finds that the naysayers are the regular invitees to Sunday political talk shows, cable TV news shows and the like. While this fact may not be revelatory, it certainly validates what readers here already firmly believe. Be they Republicans or Democrats, the WAR PARTY is still in charge, notwithstanding the November elections.
What I find especially interesting, and dismaying, is the large number of Democrat newbies who have no problem with bombing the Hell out of Iran. These people need to be challenged in their '08 primaries, if not challenged in the general elections.
And If You Speak Truth To...
...and watch what you say if you want to grow up to be President:

Guess what!
According to the Nuremberg Principles an aggressive attack on another country is a war crime. It matters not that the Congress and the president and an assortment of media whores and pundits say it is OK. The fact remains that a war of aggression a la Iraq is a war crime. The unfortunate fact is that we have a war criminal in the White House and enablers in the congress. It is up to us, we, the people to stop them.
We must all sign the peace pledge. We will not vote for any candidate (from any party) that does not support peace -- that would be the 189 Repubs and the 99 Dems and the 13 stay-aways.
Nancy also needs to go if she will not allow proper investigations, which appear only to be possible through impeachment proceedings.
