Support Rev. Lennox Yearwood
Support is needed for Rev. Lennox Yearwood, Jr. Please show your solidarity by coming to his arraignment today. He has been held overnight in jail and will be arraigned today at 1:00 p.m. in DC Superior Court ( 500 Indiana Ave. ). This is near the Judiciary Square Metro Stop. Directions. As you can see from the videos, Rev. Yearwood did not assault the police or even resist them. We hear he is being charged with a felony. This is often done when police overreact and use unnecessary force in order to justify their actions. This is a serious charge. The peace community needs to come out and show our support for this important spokesperson for our cause.

Update
Heard that Rev. Yearwood's leg was broken so called his office? home? to give support and ask questions. It was not broken but he has serious injuries to his ankle. He was charged with assault on an officer (that can be charged as a felony but was charged as a misdemeanor at somebody's request or judge's discretion-I don't know) and also charged with disorderly contact. He has been released.
Will be there at the next court date.

Yet ev'ry distance is not near.
So I remember ev'ry face
Of ev'ry man who put me here.
I see my light come shining
From the west unto the east.
Any day now, any day now,
I shall be released."
