. . . unless, of course, they sneak in some "Suspension of Rules" bullshit like ol' Congress-Critter Jane "RAND Told Me To Pass This" Harman & Co. did with H.R. 1955 . . .;-)

. . . You know, like they did right before Christmas break in 1913 with the "Federal Reserve Act" . . . AND in 1937 with the Marijuana Tax Stamp Act . . .and in 2001 with the "Patriot Act" . . AND . . AND . . AND . . ;-)

I think I'll keep one eye open . . . and glued to CSPAN until Santa comes, kidz . . .;-)

Of course, this ol' fool from North Cackilacki still can't quite get my head around WHY this is even being given the consideration of discussion . . . instead of WARRANTS being issued, ARRESTS made, and TRIALS scheduled . . .how much more of a "smoking gun" do you need here to convince you that THE TELCOS KNOWINGLY BROKE THE LAW. . . PERIOD!!!

I guess being 18 with a joint is about the only HIGH CRIME that anyone in this Government seems interested in pursuing these daze . . .and then only if the "perp" is middle class or poor ..;-)

Just like getting a blowjob from a MOSSAD agent (Mega?) is apparently the only IMPEACHABLE offense worth pursuing. ..;-)

end the war - don't filibuster it

Allow me to vent here for a moment. I just finished watching Democracy Now! this evening, and there wasn't one word mentioned about Ron Paul's historic record breaking fund raiser the other day. This fund raiser proved Ron Paul is as serious (if not much more) a contender in the 2008 election than anti-war Dennis Kucinich.

Ron Paul is adamant in his determination to stop the illegal war in Iraq. If this "honest" Republican was elected, we'd stand a far greater chance of ending the war in Iraq than under any of the corporate backed Democratic front runners.

I always thought DN! was backed by a strong peace community, but when a viable Republican dedicated to stopping the war is rigorously ignored because he is simply not a Democrat, then I suggest Amy Goodman change the name of her program to DEMOCRATS NOW!

I implore all anti-war, pro-Constitution people to "strike the root" and back a candidate in 2008 who unequivocally vows to end the war in Iraq immediately, not play games with reduced funding or re-deployment.

Thanks for indulging me. I feel a little better now.

I just wish Ron Paul would introduce articles of impeachment against the Bush crime regime. We can't let their usurpation of the Constitution stand no matter who gets elected -- Ron Paul or Dennis Kucinich.

To my mind, both Kucinich and Paul are being super-sidelined in the media and their respective parties... I note even David Swanson mentions in his report from Italy about the genuine vulnerabilities of the multi-party politics there, that there still exists a "De Facto" gridlock. But this would not apply to a Kucinich-Paul Ticket dedicated to Restoring the Executive Office, Ending Overseas Military, and reviewing a host of consensual Constitutional Crisis in the Homeland... A campaign Explicitly Dedicated to One Term.

Neither takes Military/Industrial/K-Street/Wall Street money...

Neither has EVER voted FOR WAR INC., in Iraq or elsewhere, EVER...

Neither Approved the Patriot Act...

Neither supports the "Unitary Executive"...

Both would withdraw ALL TROOPS 1st Day in Office...

Both would facilitate a Thorough Review of All Things "Executive"...

Both would Repeal the Patriot Act, Rendition, Torture, and the War On Terror...

Both would bring Passionate Grass-roots into the Fight for Our Country...

Combined, they would Break the Media Blockade...

Combined, they would "Reunionize" the Nation under a Just and Noble Cause...'

Combined, they would Owe No Favors, nor Compromise their Principles...

Combined, they would Change History by leaving "party-affiliation" in the dust, while simultaneously Challenging the Real RoadBlock to Peace and Justice For All...

...all these are just their mutual record and campaigns, without including a host of other possible "agreements" they may uncover!

I agree with you 100% codepink about Impeachment, even more though, I want Uninhibited 911 Investigations to commence Publicly for the sake of Exposing the "Who's Who" behind the Fascist Coup (Name Names and Arrest!!!) we're presently trying desperately to get out of now with the two-party Gridlock. More importantly, however, We cannot afford NOW, at this juncture of History, to allow our "partisan politics" to override the Constitutional United States, to allow it to be destroyed just because We don't know how to Build a Bridge in these times.

I'm personally waiting for the marginalization by the Dems against Kucinich, and the Reps against Paul to be "completed" (whenever they both figure it out)... then we're gonna have US a Real HorseRace with a Limited Time to Win, and no matter what, Our Voices on these issues Will Bee Heard!

I honestly don't believe we'll get green or peace unless this happens.

they are still spinning this event, but they have LOST control of total manipulation of the political process, even Hillary Clinton doesn't look that confident and strident.

i have to say, no one in my circles is doubting what I and many others said all along, no nixonites on my watch, no nixonite lies around me, and it has been an utter disaster that 'no one can deny', UK has left their positions, even UK has abandoned Bushie.

UK has left on their own accord [just in time for Gordon to hand over England to Europe - that's another nightmare just unfolding for them]
