60 Minutes Caves to Pressure from White House on Siegelman Story...
Well folks, seems that 60 Minutes is postponing (read "killing") its Siegelman story. The excuse I am told for this lapse in ethics is that the network needs more time to vet the whistle-blower, Dana Jill Simpson. You see, the reason the network suddenly needs more time to vet Simpson is that the White House has launched a direct campaign inside CBS to discredit her and just to make sure the dirt sticks, they have called in some favors too. I am told that Senator Jeff Sessions has been instructed to help the White House discredit Simpson as part of his "Senatorial" duties. Nice system of government we have here, eh?
So, two things are going to happen now. The first is, we will be including what 60 Minutes did not report as part of the Raw Story series on the case. Instead of 5 installments, we will now have 6. Second, all of you as citizens of this nation must voice your concerns about this situation to CBS. You want a free press? Then fight for it!

I would tell you to call Congress, but as we all now know, they will not do a damn thing. But if you feel this would help, then by all means do contact Congress, the FCC, and every advertiser giving money to CBS. If money talks, scream with your wallet. You may also wish to contact Senator Jeff Sessions and ask him who John Price is, you know, just for shits and giggles;)

Is It Me Or Is It Apparent That There Really Is A Stench In DC?
Why do I get this uneasy feeling that everytime some expose of another (in a long line of) of the Bush administration misdeeds is about to come to light, something extremely strange happens and, like magic, the expose disappears.
Only those of us with more than a passing interest in something so trivial as the health of the American Constitutional Democracy seem to seek to find out what the hell has been going on. Meanwhile, while we "conspiracy theorists" are surfing the internet to get some facts to confirm our suspicions, the mainstream media does just what CBS's 60 Minutes is doing to this Siegelman story.
CBS has a pretty good record of marching to the beat as set forth by George W. Hitler, er I mean, Bush! Dan Rather had old W nailed about his poor record in that really difficult Vietnam Wartime stateside gig in the Texas Air National Guard. Daddy saw to it that he got in the TANG and then when W could not even show up for those duties, Daddy, or someone at Daddy's request made all that bad personnel paperwork also magically disappear. Sonny boy W could then go on to be a failure at just about everything he would lay his hands but that just qualified W to become Governor of the State of Texas. I sure hope all you Texans are proud of your contribution to Fascism!
Back to Dan Rather and CBS. Yes Dan had the goods on old W. But the smear machine (can anyone smell Karl "TurdBlossom" Rove here?) went into "superhighgear" to discredit, there's that word again, the CBS reporter and effectively neiter the veteran newsman. Magically, the story was muddled from Bush's no-show TANG non-"service" to becomingmainly about Rather and his/CBS's shoddy documentation of its fact reporting. W slides by again.
This shit doesn't happen by accident. Once might be a fluke. Twice maight be a coincidence. However, as many times as W's prissy ass has been saved by a complicit corporate owned media outlet, then it is a consiracy to shroud the truth from the American people. Let me emphasize that again for those of you reading this:
IT IS A CONSPIRACY TO SHROUD THE TRUTH FROM THE AMERICAN PEOPLE!

I suspect you already know where we regulars on this site are. You may even leave us alone for the time being figuring that you will retain power after November, 2008 anyway since you know you have the electronic voting machines all locked up, so we little people will make no difference.
Let me ask you: What will you wealthy bastards lose when the financial house of cards goes a tumbling down? Answer: A hell of a lot more than we "little people", that's what!
There is two ways in dealing with this
The first step in the constitution calls for "IMPEACHMENT" and when you have elected officials that are just as criminal and corrupted as our President and Vice President, the next step is a revolution, our forefathers did a nice job of it, and now Britain has taken control of our government again.
If Americans have their heads in the sand on what our government is doing they had better take in out right now, it is almost to d... late.
What in the h... is the matter with Americans , are they republican schooled and don't they know anything about our history. Do they know how democracy is suppose to work , about what a constitution and bill of rights mean and it's protection for the people over a military-industrial complex and a take over of our country.
To contact our representative by email , Fax or other methods no longer works because they are not listening to what we say.
They believe they are the deciders, which tells Americans how things are going to be no matter what they wish , want or say.
They have taken us out of our government process and this has to change if we want any rights , freedom and input to how our government is run.
