Remember when JFK set the goa
Remember when JFK set the goal of landing a man on the moon by the end of the 1960's? The nation went to work and got it done.
That project was not about how much politicians could steal, but about governing a country and setting an ambitious goal, and getting the job done.
That is what is missing in today's US government, especially at the federal level. On this side of the beltway, it seems politicians are much more concerned about keeping their jobs, raising campaign funds, employing lobbyists to write laws that are suddenly attached at the last minute, just before the holiday, and passed by voice vote to nearly empty chambers.
That is wrong.
I'm looking foreward to reading you goal-setting, positive sotu alternative for the common folks. If we took money out of politics, we, the people, would be the boss again.
Long live the Constitution!
