I so appreciate your speaking out. What are the threats, or the incentives, to/for the Democratic Representatives that they are not ALL speaking out and totally infuriated with this demise of our country in 5 short years?

I am so proud to hear a person from Congress finally SPEAK the TRUTH about BUSH and HIS LIES--PLEASE IMPEACH HIM THEN PROSECUTE HIM AND SEND HIM TO JAIL like SADDAM went to Jail for his crimes

The president made a solemn oath to defend the constitution. He out right defied it. He used the exuse of fighting terrorism, but instead
used it for his owen personal use. He outright admitted that he broke
this law and is proud of it. This administration has shown it willing bend the rules to suit its own political agenda. There must be a bi-

Hi Bush did nothing but destroy a country that was dept clear, had no worry about a war,had social security going and did not spy on american citizens. I believe that Bush wants to privitize social security is because he used the money to keep this war going. we should get him and his groupe out and hold them responsible for all the boys that died

Would be great if it could really be done but I think that what we democrats should concentrate on is getting behind each and every democratic candidate to better balance our congress and senate then get a real plan and solutions in place to better lead our nation and get us out of war.

I didn't even listen to Bush's State of the union speech, as I don't believe a word he says, its a waste of my time to listen to him..

This is never going to happen and most of you know it. There are too many dummies out there that believe everything he says. The democrats have run two of the dummest campaigns in history. Gore didn't use Clinton to help him and went to far on gun control. That dumb kiss he gave his wife on the stage was almost enough for me to vote for Bush. Gun control in this country will never work. Do you really think that every bad guy is going to just give up his gun? Only the honest people will register or give up their guns. I am against hunting. So why not ban all guns. You can kill someone with a riffle as well as a handgun. It is not an issue to run on. I think Mark Warner had the right idea when he didn't bring up gun control in his run for Govener of Virginia and he won.

I have always appreciated that you are one of the few who will speak up for what is just and against what is clearly criminal. Your efforts against the Bush administration's conduct in Hati is a great example of your heroism.

Your recent speech calling for Bush's impeachment is also important. Please keep fighting this battle as it is critical that we remove this psychopath from office.

What has happened to the american public? Are they all STUPID! cant they see what is happening right in front of there eyes....Have they all gone blind .... I totally agree with the Honorable Rep. Maxine Waters. Both Bush and Cheney should be impeach for High Crimes and Misdeeds while in public office of the United States. Both are responbile for leading us into a war that was not necessary and was only based on lies which they both knew of. There was no need to invade Iraqi for the reasons they contended of having WMD, they they both knew in advance of the invasion, that there were no WMD in Iraqi. The invasion was based on their selfish goals for oil and war profiterring for Haliburton and K.B. Root. In addition,, Bush's spying on U.S. Citizens is not more then the KGB spying on it's citizens in Russia during it Communist days and of Hilter's SS Guard. Bush spying is intended to spy on Terriorist, but in fact, he spying on any U.S. Citizen, Organization or person(s) who oppose Bush, Cheney or Karl Rove, weather it be political or against the unjust war in Iraqi

Rep. Maxine Waters, with great respect, I salute you. Additionally, I thank the few (e.g. John Murtha) in the Commenweath of Pennsylvania, for standing up to the Bush administration and supporting troop withdrawal in Iraq.

Our state of the union? Shameful. The HOR is in need of campaign reform, which used to be my number one priority. However, more importantly now is the removal of President Bush under Article II, section 4 of the U.S. Constitution. Treason, Bribery and other high crimes include pre-emptive planning of the war in Iraq, then lying to the American people while withholding evidence surrounding a willful pre-emptive war on Iraq; failure to protect the American people when evidence was supressed with omissions and distortions of September 11, 2001; Failure to protect when evidence was presented on Costal destruction after a catagory 5 hurricaine; and Failure to use FISA courts before spying on Americans- thousands and thousands of Americans.

Let us NEVER forget Bush and his Adminstration's offenses impeachable BY God and BEFORE God Almighty: ordering the men and women of this country to MURDER INNOCENT babies, women, boys, girls, and men of a country that NEVER ATTACKED US; NEVER was ANY KIND of THREAT to our overwhelming military might WHATSOEVER, and indeed, was the ONE SINGULAR NONRELIGIOUS SECULAR Arab nation that was an ABSOLUTE ENEMY to ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISM in that part of the world.

And that he and his adminstration, profiting obscenely and mightily from this WAR that they say WILL NEVER END, KILLED THESE INNOCENT PEOPLE while CLAIMING TO BE CHRISTIANS.

The country is so polarized, I don't have much hope for articles of impeachment UNLESS we put all our energies in electing a Democratic majority in November. The day that that is done courageous Senators should immediately start the Articles of Impeachment. The President is playing his game, spending more and more money on energy moves, education moves and other things from his state of the union speech. The American people, the majority, are not being bought. But they have to have an alternative and the Democrats must advertise and debate and rebut the President's efforts. Why not give a rebuttal to every speech he gives when he goes on the road. Use the money you have collected so far to pay for these ads. The people need information, not just the talking heads from the various networks.

George Bush has continually used the fear tactic to justify his reasons for going to war with Iraq. His motive is not valid because the information that Congress obtained was not the same he was provided with from the CIA. George Bush believes he has altimate power and can spy and lie as he pleases and the American People are too stupid and lazy to protest. He also has his Republican cronies in his hip pocket and cares less for the welfare of the American People of all classes. This is the worst president since Herbert Hoover and he should be impeached before it's too late for this country.

Thank you for bravely speaking publicly for those of us who do not have a voice or a place to get out the message that Bush should be impeached. Too many people are afraid to voice this opinion due to the threats of "name taking" and "snitches" that we heard during Mr. Bush's first term as acting president. Those very people are the ones that know and admit Americans have lost certain freedoms. For the most part, this President and his core group are ruling by fear.

I don't understand why more of our leaders are not fighting and speaking out on these and other issues, for instance the legality, fairness, and accuracy of the voting. We are saying we are trying to help the people in Iraq vote as in a democracy, but they vote different than our country does. Just out of curiosity, does each vote count in Iraq or do they have the unnecessary and unfair equal to our electoral college?

It is as so many ask... "What can I as one person do?" Of course we can send money to groups, but most of the groups tell you they are going to do something but they never tell you how and they never give any information on what they have done, and if they have done something with our money that they just haven't shared, they don't tell what has been accomplished by the secret actions they have taken.

When someone like you comes along and actually says what so many Americans feel, it helps each of our individual hearts. We need to hear many of our leaders speaking out, we need to see them doing something so we know there are people higher up that believe as we do so we can have confidence we are doing and saying what is right and that it is okay to speak up, maybe making us feel a little safer in doing so.

Myself, I am already on a black list, I'm sure. I have fought against the death penalty for many years, preferring life without the possibility of parole. Everyone knows how Bush feels about that, down to saying it is legal to kill a factually innocent person as long as a jury found them guilty. (Not an exact quote) Can we expect someone with a heart like that to care that people in Iraq are being killed for no reason? Well... for no reason that is just and right. Bush has his reasons.

Bush can send others to kill, but could he himself do so? He worked on a campaign instead of doing his assigned Guard duty, at least from what I've heard. It seems to me that he went into the guards to keep from having to actively fight. Yet he has sent our guards to fight in Iraq.

I am sorry to go on and on. You know all of what I am saying already. Sometimes we need to vent and hope someone with some power will hear and know there are more people out here behind you and thankful for your speech than just the ones willing to speak up.

Thank you for speaking out for those of us who either believe or can find no reason not to believe that George Bush's warrantless spying on U.S. citizens violates both the Constitution and the 1978 FISA law.

Not only do Bush's behavior exemplify "high crimes and misdemeanors," so does that of the Republican Congress who support him and are placing partisan politics above their sworn duty to support and defend the Consitution of the United States.

Thank God you have spoken out as has Rep. Conyers! Now we need enough brave men & women to come forth in Congress and do the right thing -- depose King George.

Yes it is wrong, and Nixon proved it was wrong. Heck! Say it like it is, Bill Clinton would be showing the victory sign on the helicopter by now if it were him spying.

All of us ought to thank Rep. Waters for standing up and speaking for us. This presidency has been, from the very beginning, about lies, cheats, and subtrifuge. When our elected officials call to right these wrongs, restore our integrity in the world, and at home; we need to stop and listen. Then we must act. Support any and all investigations into the behavior of this administration no matter what smokescreens are thrown up and dodges made...nothing less than our freedom, and the freedom of countless other nations is at stake. Do not be mistaken, when other governments understand that Americans will believe in a corrupt administration, they too will subject thier people to lies and limited freedoms. One way or another, we still have great influence in the world - let it be for truth, not well planted lies..

This is scary, and I am surprised that the right wing of our political system can't see what is at stake. In effect, Mr. Bush could be testing his resolve to take over our Government. Bit by bit, I see this administration's stonewalling as fishing for who will support aspects of such a beginning should Mr. Bush move down that road. When I see how divided we are, and in my life, I have never seen this country so accepting of the lack of oversight to provide adequate checks and balances on our executive branch of government. Mr. Bush, with the support of most Republicans, will not give up and release any records that would put suspensions to rest. Be careful America, it's only our governmental structure we are faced to make sure we still have.
