A lottery for electing our public servents
Glad to see a list of the good guys. Am I the only one to notice that this is a very short list. I really like how you conveyed this information to us. Your article's simple, bold format of accountability really stood out. Maybe we can do more of this; our public servents may find newly impossed checks and balances, not seen in our current media.
How do you get our problems listened to in the White House ?
How do you get Big Business Intrests to take a back seat ?
Isn't it about time we look at our needs, and long term intrests ?
What about a Lottery for Electing our Public Servents, with shorter terms.
A person with no exsperience may be just what we need. A fresh down to earth outlook. One who knows how the other side lives.
I mean really, they could't botch things up any more than you have. A person would win the lottery postion in excitement, bringing fresh ideas from diverse backgrounds. The internet, and public school system could be contoured to perfect the idea over time.It would be concidered a privledge to work for your country. To help arrange ideas for the people to benifit. To say to your grand children; you helped create that.
I bet others are also fed up after witnessing all the smerking faces which walk so arogantly toward thier own intrests as they insist they are on the job fulfilling our needs. Maybe such arrogance, and smerking; will be a thing of the past.
I always wondered why our public servents needed body guards, and armour. The only reason that comes to mind; is the policies they make behind our back, harms others. How Do You Sleep at Night; I Mean Really ?
It is the People's Turn to Govern.
Letting Ideas Flourish, and No Longer Tolerating Supression.
Peace
The Iraqi War
The Feingold-Reid is far from enough. Rep. Dennis Kucinich has THE best solution to end this terrible tragedy: HR 1234.

Maryland Senators Cardin and Mikulski
Here in Maryland we face what has become the definitive challenge in US politics today: corporate-dependent Democrats in Congress who are unable to initiate and sponsor real and lasting progressive policy initiatives...even when they are the majority party!
While we work hard for meaningful campaign finance reform.....
I urge all Maryland residents to telephone our two Democrat Senators Cardin and Mikulski today and tell their staff that if these two Senators are early cosponsors of the Feingold-Reid bill to cut off war funding, we proud and grateful Maryland residents will sing their praises far and wide.
It's a start.
Treason is a higher crime
We know now that the "loyal Bushies" funded and aided terrorist Suni groups in their fight against the Shiia majority (possibly) getting aid from Iran. This lasted in the news for about 2 days but it was long enough for me and others to see it. What happened to all the commentary that should have been around this. Aiding "the enemy" is high treason, punishable by hanging. (Just like Sadam?) THIS is what we need to try the Bushy bastards for. I have so little hope left for lilly-livered libbies these days. All that hot talk before the elec tion has turned into cold feet now that they're in cozy congressional/senate seats, taking impeachment "off the table" like it's a cold hotdog at the Ritz. DemiDems, half full or half empty, their still half-assed about saving our nation from the Criminal Right. (And Fancy-Nancy has failed to impress me. Prissy women never do.) If they want to stay in those seats, they'd better get to work on some of those promises they made to hold the bushies accountable.
Claudi (grrrrr!)
