* Friday, Nov. 2 – Tune into the Nicole Sandler Show on WINZ, 940 AM. At 8:05 a.m., our friend Florida ACLU Executive Director Howard Simon will be Nicole's guest. He will talk about the ACLU's sponsorship of a "Conversation with Congressman John Conyers" at UM this Sunday afternoon (details below). At 8:30 a.m., Nicole will interview Anthony Romero, National Executive Director of the ACLU. Questions regarding the loss of our civil liberties under the Bush administration will come up as well as our favorite subject, the "I" word. Nicole is our only media impeachment advocate in the Miami area, so please listen Friday and often!

* Friday, Nov. 2 – "Unhappy Hour," 4:30 p.m. until dark – 17th Ave. and U.S. #1 Monthly Honk & Wave sponsored by Veterans for Peace. There will be extra Impeachment signs available. If we can get 7 or 8 Coalition members, we can spell out the word plus our website. Email dianelee33176@yahoo.com if you can participate.

* Sunday, Nov. 4 – 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. - ACLU sponsors a Conversation with Cong. John Conyers, Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, where Kucinich's H. Res. 333 for Impeachment of Cheney lies dormant. We hope to have a large group of impeachment advocates present. You remember Conyers held impeachment hearings in the basement of the House back when the Dems had no power. Way back then (2005), Cindy Sheehan and other progressives testified. But last summer these same people were arrested for exercising civil disobedience in Conyers' office.

* Friday, Nov. 9 – Mon., Nov. 12 – Arlington Miami display in honor of the fallen in Iraq in Bayfront Park. Please contact Simon Rose, svlakota@earthlink.net if you can help with set up Friday morning or take down Monday evening.

* Friday, Nov. 9 – Sun., Nov. 11 – Miami Book Fair Street Fair. SFIC will share a booth with Jolly Jack Lieberman and we'll be selling IMPEACH BUSH & CHENEY tee-shirts with our website on the back and the John Nichols book, The Genius of Impeachment. RECENT SOUTH FLA. IMPEACHMENT COALITION ACTIVITES

* Visibility Day in Coconut Grove with ten members displaying IMPEACH and our website. Passed out flyers and we got lots of honkers happy to see us.

* Demonstration at Aventura City Hall lobby where Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz's Aventura office is located. I enjoyed reading the Constitution aloud even though my only audience was the initially hostile (but later quite friendly) security guard. When I said I wasn't leaving the building, the friendly police captain offered me a place on a couch for the night, but I declined. No point in getting arrested because the media didn't show up. Big surprise! I hadn't read the Constitution since high school, so it was time well spent. The honk & wave outside was met with much enthusiasm in this liberal enclave.

* A.N.S.W.E.R. Peace Rally in Ft. Lauderdale where Rucy gave a well-received passionate speech on Impeachment

* Thelma and Louise (Diane and Bonnie) headed up the pike to Orlando to take part in a peace demonstration and march attended by 2,000 peace-loving patriots. Then on to the Florida Democratic Party Convention where we displayed outside the banquet hall Impeachment signs, some aimed at Wasserman Schultz and House Majority Whip Steny Hoyer. We made lots of connections with progressive Democrats from around the state, got many thank yous and thumbs up and passed out flyers. Impeachment advocates asked for signs so that they could parade around the hall when the speeches had ended. We cornered Cong. Alcee Hastings, who talked a lot and didn't listen. The DEC gave us dinner tickets so we got to listen to the boring speeches. Only non-boring thing Steny said was that Nancy Pelosi would be in Miami Monday. Did some research and . . .

* Six Coalition members did an impromptu demonstration with less than a day's notice at a health clinic in Liberty City where Speaker Pelosi had flown down for an SCHIP photo op. She was joined by camera happy Wasserman Schultz and Meek. Reminded us of Bush posing in front of the troops. A couple of locals stopped and joined the demonstration and yelled at Cong. Meek when he exited the meeting. Watch for details on Meek, Impeach Cheney demonstration in North Miami on Nov. 15th. He didn't have the courtesy to send a reply letter to the constituent who lobbied his office on H. Res. 333.

* Bonnie and Alan passed out flyers at Gov. Bill Richardson fundraiser.
