The Bush Administration is preparing for war against Iran, using an almost identical drumbeat of weapons of mass destruction, imminent threat, alleged links to Al Queda, and even linking Iran with a future 911.
In the past few months reports have been published in Newsweek, ABC News and GQ Magazine that indicate the US is recruiting members of paramilitary groups to destabilize Iran through violence. The New Yorker magazine and the Guardian have written that US has already deployed military inside Iran. The latest issue of Time writes of plans for a naval blockade of Iran at the Port of Hormuz, through which 40% of the world's oil supply passes. Other news reports have claimed that an air strike, using a variety of bombs including bunker busters to be dropped on over 1,000 targets, including nuclear facilities. This could obviously result in a great long term humanitarian and environmental disaster.
Earlier this year, I demanded congressional hearings on Iran and was able to secure the promise of a classified briefing from the Department of Defense, the State Department and the CIA. When the briefing was held, the Department of Defense and the State Department refused to show and are continuing to block any congressional inquiry into plans to attack Iran.
Just this past week, the International Atomic Energy Agency called "erroneous, misleading and unsubstantiated" statements relating to Iran's nuclear program which came from a staff report of the House Intelligence committee. Other intelligence officials have claimed over a dozen distortions in the report which, among other things, said Iran is producing weapons grade uranium. The Washington Post wrote: "The IAEA called that 'incorrect' noting that weapons grade uranium is enriched to a level of 90 percent or more. Iran has enriched uranium to 3.5% under IAEA monitoring."
I have demanded that the Government Oversight subcommittee on National Security and International Relations, of which I am the ranking Democrat, hold hearings to determine how in the world the Director of National Intelligence, John Negroponte, viewed the report without correcting the obvious inaccuracies before it was published. Once again a case for war is being built on lies.
You will recall that four and a half years ago I warned this nation about the deception behind the build up to war against Iraq. Everything I said then turned out to be 100% right. I led 125 Democrats in opposing the Iraq war resolution in March of 2003. The very same people who brought us Iraq in 2003 are getting ready to bring us a war against Iran.
With your help, I will lead the way to challenge the Bush Administration's march to war against Iran. A lesson from "The Siege"?
now as it appears US troops are on the way to Iran and with the Rovian October suprise announcement, with the pope traveling to Turkeye, and other disturbing facts we all should watch this movie again. Back in 1999, when it was first shown, it may be a little bit far fetched.
But by watching this movie, I have to admit the director was a prophet. The speeches of the president in the movie were the same as G.W. Bush did once for real.
And even the story come true more and more.
So should the end- our last hope to stop the Neocon Fascist Madmen is to tell the military troops that their war is bogus and that their leaders are war criminals, traitors and constant liars and that all of us support a military revolution, in the name of the constitution and the republic, to stop these bunch of criminals who could not be stopped otherwise.

* Bush announced in his first state of the Union Address in January 2002 that Iran was part of the "Axis of Evil" and a potential target of U.S. pre-emptive action. In 2003 Bush invaded Iraq under false pretenses, a war obviously waged for oil, Israel and regional dominance. Is the Bush Administration Planning a Nuclear Holocaust?
Will the US launch "Mini-nukes" against Iran in Retaliation for Tehran's "Non-compliance"?
At no point since the first atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima on August 6th, 1945, has humanity been closer to the unthinkable, a nuclear holocaust which could potentially spread, in terms of radioactive fallout, over a large part of the Middle East.
All the safeguards of the Cold War era, which categorized the nuclear bomb as "a weapon of last resort" have been scrapped. "Offensive" military actions using nuclear warheads are now described as acts of "self-defense".
The distinction between tactical nuclear weapons and the conventional battlefield arsenal has been blurred. America's new nuclear doctrine is based on "a mix of strike capabilities". The latter, which specifically applies to the Pentagon's planned aerial bombing of Iran, envisages the use of nukes in combination with conventional weapons.
As in the case of the first atomic bomb, which in the words of President Harry Truman "was dropped on Hiroshima, a military base", today's "mini-nukes" are heralded as "safe for the surrounding civilian population".
Known in official Washington, as "Joint Publication 3-12", the new nuclear doctrine (Doctrine for Joint Nuclear Operations , (DJNO) (March 2005)) calls for "integrating conventional and nuclear attacks" under a unified and "integrated" Command and Control (C2).
It largely describes war planning as a management decision-making process, where military and strategic objectives are to be achieved, through a mix of instruments, with little concern for the resulting loss of human life.

Current and former American military and intelligence officials said that Air Force planning groups are drawing up lists of targets, and teams of American combat troops have been ordered into Iran, under cover, to collect targeting data and to establish contact with anti-government ethnic-minority groups.

Nuking Iran Is Not Off the Table

The (for any rational human being) bizarre possibility of a U.S. nuclear strike against Iran first reached public consciousness in early April 2006, when investigative reporter Seymour Hersh wrote in the New Yorker magazine that it was one of six plans being considered by the administration. Now Hersh reports that the plan is off the table. Hersh is wrong on both counts. The "nuclear option" against Iran was, and still is, the only game in town.
Hersh's powerful microscope reveals a treasure trove of raw data invisible to the naked eye [1], [2], [3]. But as in science, it is essential to analyze the experimental observations to understand their true meaning; otherwise, one may be fooled into a dangerous illusion by taking them at face value. Notwithstanding Hersh's latest revelations, a nuclear strike on Iran is still an option on the table. The president has not publicly taken it off, after confirming on April 18 that it is among the options being considered. And Hersh's latest article, by suggesting that an attack on Iran without that option is utterly unfeasible, in fact provides evidence that the intention is still to exercise this option, which has been in the planning for a long time.

The power of the purse holds sway over the evils we see here before us today my fellow Americans. Use it! Stop paying all taxes, start taking care of your own property. Learn to protect yourselves ,be more self sufficient. If we the people do all of these things together oppression and tyranny will never be able to stop us. Freedom isn't free but this is how we earned it in the first place. One shouldn't just wake up when the sun hits you, one should rise up and attack the day like there is no tomorrow. But all of this was just my opinion.
