Transform Political Yard Signs into Impeach Signs
By Bill Crosier
Tuesday evening, after the polls close, go by your nearest voting locations and yank up all the political yard signs before they get disposed of the next morning. Invite your friends to do the same and save them.
Then plan a sign-painting party sometime later this month to transform those signs into patriotic messages for regime change at home that you can put up all around town. Imagine a thousand signs around your city with such messages as "IMPEACH" in giant letters. Or make a series of them with a single word on each: "Lying" "Spying" "Torture" "IMPEACH!" and plant them in a row along a busy street.
For your sign-painting party, do this:
1. Get a paint roller and tray, and some quick-dry primer that will stick to the signs (especially important if you have plastic signs).
2. After that dries, put on another coat of white latex paint (dries faster than alkyd/oil-based paint). (Test both the primer and the next coat of paint on the type of signs common in your town, before your sign-painting party. Ask the friendly folks at your local hardware store for suggestions on the best types of paint to use.)
3. After that second coat of paint dries, use stencil(s) with your favorite impeach-related slogan(s) and some spray paint, and transform those signs into ones that will get noticed. You can make stencils from cardboard or from some of the yard signs.
4. Have food and drinks and music to make it fun and to keep your helpers from leaving before the signs are all done.
If you have lots of signs, a paint sprayer will help with all three of the above coats, but a paint roller will work too. Just make sure you do some test painting in advance of your party to make sure the paint will stick to the signs (especially important for plastic signs).
Don't wait until the day after the election to get the signs. They may already be headed for the landfill.

I use the signs...
I take the double-sided ones that fit over wire frames. Then I cut the sides and turn them inside out. They're already white on the inside.
I paint my message, then staple the sides back together, and put them right back on the frames.
Here's what I did with them this week:

POLITICAL YARD SIGNS
We are thinking alike ! I got mine here in Brunswick, Georgia on Thursday. They were all over town. My best was 4' x 4' with grommets!
And, like posted above, you just reverse many of them.

impeachment
I assume you're familiar with everything this admin has done, and that's why you support impeachment. however most americans need to be educated first. bill maher said "you can't start by hating bush" meaning you immediately lose everyone else. we need to push for investigations, about everything(reasons for the war, misused intel about saddam responsible for 9-11, handeling of the war, katrina, cia leak scandall etc.). suppena these people and ask tough questions. maybe signs like "who wants to know why we went to war" all americans know we were'nt told the truth. and can sign on to that.
Thanks for the idea!
