Subject: Impeachment Resolution in Montana Legislature

Date: Jan 13, 2007 5:40 PM

A Missoula-based group, Montana Partners for Impeachment, has drafted "Resolution to Impeach President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard Cheney". The draft is now in the Montana Senate awaiting the necessary impetus to be introduced.

The impeachment of the president and vice president is a major focus of Veterans for Peace (see http://www.veteransforpeace.org). This focus is referred to as the VFP Impeachment Campaign. VFP #133 (Montana), mtvfp@mt.net, has committed to this project. I have advised a contact in the Montana Senate of Montana Veterans for Peace's full support of the resolution.

I have been advised that this resolution will not be introduced in the absence of a "critical mass" of support generated by the people of Montana. Accordingly, I am asking each of you to contact your state legislators (both House and Senate, Republican or Democrat or other) requesting that they make themselves aware of this draft resolution and that they urge their leadership to introduce this resolution in the current session.

Time is of the essence. This is a rare opportunity for us to demand redress of our grievances and to demand justice for the people of the United States and the many thousands of human beings in the middle east - all of us victims of the deceit and inhumanity that is intrinsic in the policies of George Bush and Dick Cheney.

Impeachment: It's Constitutional! Please help!

Go, Montana, go. Maybe Jon Tester will confirm the action.
