and the powers to be in this great country wanted to impeach Clinton for having sex wirh an intern. What a joke! It cost the taxpayers a few million(thanks to the right wingers), but no american service men or women were killed or injured. How about taking care of the american people who have no health insurance, the american children living in poverty,the american elderly with no money for prescription drugs, because they have to pay school taxes. Make this great nation safe at home first by protecting the american people in their homes and streets. We pay taxes here, not in Iraq.

Only a handful in Congress should be left to govern, Kucinich being one of them. We need a new Congress entirely. Impeachment is not enough.

The power elite has concentrated more power and wealth in fewer hands.They have greater media control,thru concentration of media ownership. At home the repugs have given big biz corporate interests such as oil and drug companies billions in tax cuts and subsidies. Billions more in corporate profits are taken off shore (not taxed) The war has been put on the national credit card. The majority of Americans are only now beginning to realize the fantastic sums of money which have been spent in Iraq and the detrimental affects this will have on
our standard of living for years to come. They used Enron accounting practices to hide what they were doing. Iraq is costing us ten billion a month while our domestic programs continue to be cut.

These policies exist in order to steal other peoples resources and exploit their labor. These countries know what we are doing which is why America is hated world wide. This Administration of right wing neocons are willing to lie, slander, torture, imprison, kill and escalate this war to maintain their control. They ignore the Constituion and break our laws. They ignore the public, the election results, the recent bi-partisan panal on Iraq and now the recommendations of our Congress.

14 American Intelligence agencies both foreign and domestic stated that this war and the current foreign policy made us less safe. The New York Times published these conclusions in Sept of 2006. As usual this news was quickly ignored or forgotten. The Admin. claims this war is conducted to make us safer while 14 of our Intelligence agencies conclude the opposite. Why is this not front page news?

I believe impeachment is too kind a word for a man who acts more like a Dictator. George Bush continues to over-ride the will of the people and Congress. Am I the only one who sees his horrible grin every time he talks about doing his own thing? I may get shot but I created a domain name DETHRONEBUSH.COM in order for people to at least see what they are thinking in bold letters. Israel has received a grand total of $84.8 billion, excluding the $10 billion in U.S. government loan guarantees it has drawn to date.

And if you calculate what the U.S. has had to pay in interest to borrow this money to give to Israel, the cost of Israel to U.S. taxpayers rises to $134.8 billion, not adjusted for inflation.

Put another way, the nearly $14,630 every one of 5.8 million Israelis had received from the U.S. government by October 31, 1997, cost American taxpayers $23,241 per Israeli. That's $116,205 for every Israeli family of five.

None of these figures include the private donations by Americans to Israeli charities, which initially constituted about one quarter of Israel's budget, and today approach $1 billion annually. In addition to the negative effect of these donations on the U.S. balance of payments, the donors also deduct them from their U.S. income taxes, creating another large drain on the U.S. treasury.

Nor do the figures above include any of the indirect financial costs of Israel to the United States, which cannot be tallied. One example is the cost to U.S. manufacturers of the Arab boycott, surely in the billions of dollars by now. Another example is the cost to U.S. consumers of the price of petroleum, which surged to such heights that it set off a world-wide recession during the Arab oil boycott imposed in reaction to U.S. support of Israel in the 1973 war.

Other examples are a portion of the costs of maintaining large U.S. Sixth Fleet naval forces in the Mediterranean, primarily to protect Israel, and military air units at the Aviano base in Italy, not to mention the staggering costs of frequent deployments to the Arabian Peninsula and Gulf area of land and air forces from the United States and naval units from the Seventh Fleet, which normally operates in the Pacific Ocean.
