Kucinich Says He's Preparing 50-Page Bush Articles of Impeachment

Kucinich addresses many issues at Reno rally

Touching on issues ranging from Yucca Mountain to the Patriot Act and the war in Iraq, presidential hopeful Dennis Kucinich spoke to a crowd of several hundred people in Reno Saturday.

Despite a steady snowfall outside, a standing-room-only crowd packed into two meeting rooms at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center to hear what the Ohio Congressman and Democrat had to say about issues he's most closely associated with: the environment and opposition to the war and the Bush administration in general. Those expecting Kucinich to deliver harsh words about the president weren't disappointed, as the half-hour campaign speech soon turned to talk of impeachment.

"On the way over here, I was reading a 50-page document that relates to Articles of Impeachment for the President of the United States," Kucinich said to a standing ovation. "And I want you to know that I'm actually preparing this document for submission to the House."

Kucinich said under the current administration, citizen's rights to due process and fair trial are in jeopardy.

"This is a moment when we're called upon to reclaim our country," he said. "You give me your vote, I'll give you back your country."

Kucinich also discussed how his concern for the environment would shape his presidency if he were to be elected.

"Think about this. The government has an engine of sustainability so that the Department of Transportation focuses on developing mass transit solutions. The Department of Housing and Urban Development develops green housing with natural light and passive solar. The Department of Energy incentivizes the production of wind and solar and green energy," he told the crowd.

But most of those on hand weren't there to hear about global warming.

Bill Cantella of Reno made his way throughout the crowd, handing out Kucinich pamphlets and stickers simply reading "Impeach," while others wore shirts and held banners bearing the same sentiment.

Cantella said Kucinich's "everyman" appeal draws him to the candidate.

"The most appealing thing about him to me is that he's not connected with special interests, international corporations and he does not accept campaign contributions from corporations or PACs." Cantella said. "He's not connected to the military industrial complex, oil companies and health insurance companies that rule our lives."

He was quick, however, to point out that shunning such donations could, in fact, hurt Kucinich's chances in a race populated by high-profile candidates like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama on the Democratic side.

"That's probably his biggest problem," Cantella said. "Because you have to have a lot of money to win the presidency of the United States. "

Kucinich's wife, Elizabeth, who was raised in England, spoke about the perception that her husband traditionally has been seen as a fringe, extremist candidate.

"There's a kind of thought police in Washington that tells the people of the United States that they're on the fringe but they're not," she said. "Dennis really stands with the people of America right squarely on the issues. It's the other candidates on the fringe that actually pose themselves as mainstream."

After the speech was presumably over, Kucinich jumped back on stage to get in one more thought; this one on Yucca Mountain.

"Under President Kucinich, Yucca Mountain is dead," he said.

Give Me Kucinich or Give Me Same Old/Same Old

I sometimes feel so helpless when it comes to promoting this American Patriot. I write letters, tell everyone I meet about him, give what little money I can, but it never feels like enough.

If ONLY the media were truly "LIBERAL" then Dennis K would be followed to every event he goes to speaking his words of equality, peace, and a TRUE democracy for all. If only his wealthiest supporters would buy full page ads in the major cities for him; if only he were given a fair share of "debate" time; if only the majority of Americans who he could best help were AWAKE!

I await the fifty-page presentation to Congress on the Bush articles. If THAT doesn't get media coverage--then I know we are doomed to yet another four years of "reign" from some elitist. How sad that those he wants to help most are going to vote with the corporate media's choices; thus, committing societal suicide en masse'.

DECEMBER 15 2007 .COM

Even if you don't support Kucinich as a Presidential candidate, or you believe that his campaign is a losing proposition, you can MAKE A STATEMENT ABOUT IMPEACHMENT on December 15.

DECEMBER152007.COM

On December 15, 1791 the Bill of Rights took effect.

This December 15, let's send a loud and clear message that we'd like to keep those rights.

A huge outpouring of support and (more importantly to the mainstream media) money to Kucinich's campaign, will change the dynamic and allow many Americans who have somehow never heard that Impeachment articles have already been filed in the House of Representatives, to learn about it.

Perhaps the media will even mention the historical context of December 15th.

So please. Just for this one day, give to a candidate you know can't win.

Thanks for your attention.

Well said, needed, my hat is off to you sir...

I hope so hard that more Americans are WAKING UP like me to the concept of a candidate who will ACTUALLY change the terrible path corporate America is forcing us down. I didn't vote in 2004, because I felt so disenfranchised by the government, and I've felt partially responsible for the state of things ever since. I pray that this election is filled with more voters than expected by anyone who actually vote on issues, rather than gender or race, on their own conscious, rather than bandwagon, on who SHOULD be in office, rather than who the MEDIA says should be in office. I pray that Kucinich gets his message to the American people, because in my heart I really do believe that is all he needs to do to sway undecided and previously decided votes alike, and more importantly, invoke the vote of those who otherwise wouldn't even register.

Obama and Clinton Followers?

I completely agree with you, and I know others feel the same way. The sheeple are offered a free democracy on a silver platter and yet they still support the corporate puppets. I'm trying hard to figure this out. Kucinich offers a way out of this mess.

VOTE FOR A REAL AMERICAN OR LOOSE AMERICA!

Kucinich v. corrupt coporate america, corrupt coporate media, corrupt politicians, nancy pelosi, reid, hoyer and all the other blue dog democrats.

If Kucinich is not elected be prepared to loose America.

The REAL "Patriotic" Presidential Candidate ...

is Dennis Kucinich. Consider what he's done in the past year -- he was the only member of Congress with the balls to openly challenge the status quo and accuse Dick Cheney of committing high crimes and misdemeanors. Then, he wrote up articles of impeachment against him, while the other Congressmen whimpered and cowered in the corner for fear of losing support from major corporations and political action committees.

He's spoken out against the trashing of the Constitution, addressed economic realities which the other RepubliCrat Presidential beauty pageant contestants either ignore or stubbornly refuse to talk about, he's spoken forcefully about the absolute necessity of government applying the Constitutional principle of "promoting the General Welfare" (what was the last time you heard that from a Presidential candidate, folks?), and he's brought genuine excitement and optimism to the Presidential campaign, unlike the phony Hollywood-style political campaigns of some of the other candidates.

I often think that Kucinich would be a President more in the mold of FDR than anything else, because he, like FDR, identifies himself with the "everyman", while the other candidates give lip service to the "everyman" while seeking to placate and please political action committees, and the corporate/financial sectors which spend money to fund their political campaigns.

Dennis Kucinich is our best hope for reclaiming our nation from the fascist neo-cons, and while he's not perfect, he's certainly much better than the "lesser of two evils".

And Let's not forget Ron Paul

Impeachment or Not, Paul is our next last hope to save this country from the two party system, the corporations and the New World Order.

If Kucinich does not win, which sadly he won't, but ron paul will, he can save the republic and get us out of all these organizations that are hurting this country (NAFTA, CAFTA, Peru Free Trade Agreement, IMF, The World Bank, WTO and most importantly The United Nations etc.)

So Please don't leave this man out of it.

We got to save the USA from being the North American Union.

Yes, let's not forget Ron Paul

because every blog that gives Kucinich his due has to have some Paul supporter butt in and make a comment....

Ron Paul did not support impeachment and therefore does not belong on this forum. If he really cared about the Constitution, he would support holding those accountable who dare to destroy it.

BTW - Kucinich will win, if we vote for him, very, very simple.

Go Kucinich '08! kucinich.us

RE: Yes, let's not forget Ron Paul

I wanted impeachment and think it was right despite the consequences. But it would have been illegal since violations of law would be imposable to prove. Cheney is very clever and works inside the law even though he is obviously wrong in his actions. Frustrating I know but hard to argue in a Supreme Court that is full of incompetence. Ron Paul recognizes this and thats what would make him great. He would go after the F*&Ked up laws and do things right. The system is broke and he knows all about it. I want justice as much as anybody but Cheney is very slippery and the nation is under enough stress. If Ron Paul thought the case could be made beyond a reasonable doubt he would have played along. It's kind of like a Serial Killer getting convicted for the last murder but, not the first. Of course this is not right but it is how the game is played. If we are a nation of laws we sometimes have to let a guilty man free. It's not the rules that matter its the holes in them that will let you win! And when you make them rules you can put holes in for you to escape the restrictions. That is the problem we face and it's been going on for a long time. That is why we need a President with the wisdom to use the same loopholes to undo the damage and take our federal system back a hundred years, so we can finally move forward on a smarter track. If the system was easy we would not be in this position to need lawyers and accountants in order to be on the right side of the law. Mob justice is very American but not the right method for politics. I like Dennis Kucinich! He may have been morally right but unfortunately he was legally wrong. I wish he had more support, money and did not come off as a nut to the conservatives. I feel the same way about Mike Gravel but this is where the American people can still save face by getting behind the man that knows politics and knows how to fix things legally by supporting Ron Paul. This is not a choice like usual! It's a matter of life and death for this union of states we call the United States of America. Party politics and personal preference must take a back seat. We must unite for the best candidate that can win! Ron Paul is far from perfect but, he is the one fate has given us. Hop aboard and push the peaceful revolution or suffer the violent one. The choice is yours.

You all must be addicted to opiates.

Kucinich IS fringe! Which is why he has several Democratic primary contenders challenging him back in his Congressional district this year. And the less said about nutty Ron Paul the better.

You want real change? You want break the cycle of Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton? Then you have plenty of alternatives to choose from, though even fewer have a realistic shot. And if you lean liberal like me, the choice is clear: BARACK OBAMA.

YOU ALL Must Be Addicted to opiates...

I find your reference to Kucinich, as finge very disturbing. You sound just like the establishment (BUSH/CLINTON/BUSH/CLINTON) that you seem so dead against. Your devisive comments put you in their category so why don't you vote for the one you sound like, Hillary, instead of hurting Obama by referencing him as your candidate.

I do support Obama,Edwards,Kucinich,Richardson or anyone but Clinton because of people like you who make snide remarks about their counterparts.

Here's my views on the matter --

First of all -- Here's a couple of impeachment related videos I wish to share with everyone:

(What RON PAUL says about impeachment)

(A Republican -- RON PAUL associate -- who supports impeachment now)

I support impeachment. I would also like it known that I believe that 9/11 was an inside job, meaning it was orchestrated and participated 'in part' by certain high-ranking officials connected inside our government.

That said, I completely believe the 9/11 happening was used by those certain high-ranking officials to take this country to war (w/Afghanistan w/Iraq) and has plans to expand that approach to other designated major world players, all in the name of a fabricated 'war on terror' //

The USA plans to implement (which has already begun) and maintain world domination at the expense of anyone and everyone that should stand in its way; in other words a New World Order (NWO) with the USA at the top of the hill.

Only one way to get us there (NWO) and that is to take the first step // to be successful there could be no turning back once the wheels were put into motion -- and they were put into motion with seeing and understanding the horrific events that exist and continue to morph further as it all becomes our 'new' reality in the 'world' of today. Not turning back can be surely translated as 'impeachment is off the table' // among other things such as 'we'll stand down as the Iraqi stand up' type-of-lies and disregard for proper action/reaction one after the other.

To think that such a powerful wheel, one that was already put into motion by true gangsters, those that have their hands on the controls of our government, might be so easily changed -- is quite simply put -- looking at events with the eyes of a child.

These thugs are serious and intend on success, be it one way or the other as long as it remains their way. Part of that has been the blatant dismantlement of our Constitution (for it stands in the way; obviously it does, since all things having been put into action are contradicted by this troublesome wonderful old Consitution -- the same one GWB called in so many words nothing more than a god damned piece of paper).

Now, with all that out of my system -- KUCINICH seems a decent human being, one intent on returning our country to the way 'things' should be; he obviously stands in contradiction of the gangsters that surround him. He's a brave man and a true patriot and one I would love to see our next POTUS but I'm afraid he is a grain of sand on the beach // meaning he is surrounded by others (a majority) that disagree for their own sick, twisted purposes -- the point is they (the majority -- in Congress) disagree. And impeachment proceedings can only be conducted by Congress. Our limp wristed Congress, our complicit Congress. It doesn't make them right (they are as wrong as they can be) but being right (as in KUCINICH being right) doesn't keep the big wheel (as in NWO) from turning and running right smack over the top of you or anyone else trying to stop it with logic and what's right or makes good sense.

Another individual who proclaims to have our best interest at heart is RON PAUL -- argue that and your argument is lame-brained and 'telling' simply because it would show you are lost in the fog of false reason. The fact that the man realizes he could 'kill' his own campaign by being logical (and right) in the face of corruption (and wrong) // may be a wise move. Maybe???

Many folks in Congress are by their action (or inaction) in support of the gangsters that have our government and our country by the throat // collectively either by choice or by complacent association they have chosen to be on the side of destruction for our country. Sure that's wrong, it's also irresponsible; it's as if they can't see the ship sinking, all the while they keep right on singing and smiling and wishing for dry land without doing their part to paddle us to safety.

KUCINICH seems to be an outspoken exception to this unacceptable attitude, and I believe it's his serious and honest desire to fix (put an end to) all that corruption as to why he is hoping to become POTUS and in expressing his honest sincere desire has called for certain known gangsters to be impeached. But he's in a minority group. Will the other gangster supporters WAKE UP and do THEIR PART as well or will they just keep on singing and smiling and wishing for dry land and surely help sink the ship (USA) to the bottom?

I believe we that are awake know the answer to that quite clearly -- only Congress can impeach and they (a majority) have chosen to sing and smile and do nothing in the process, nothing other than cooperate with the thugs that is. KUCINICH should be encouraged to continue his efforts (and commended in the process) but remember, folks, he is up against that big wheel that was already put into motion (NWO) and stopping it may be near impossible if not just that very thing. The others are traitors, they are that, but loyal to the thugs they support.

RON PAUL seems to be aware of his surroundings; he's certainly not an idiot, and his overall record is not one to be so quickly denied // He too has hopes of becoming our next POTUS. He seems to be taking another approach in trying to stop that big wheel (the one already in motion) // Of course he might just as easily sharpen his sword and throw himself on it by lending his support to the truly 'brave hearts' such as KUCINICH (and the scattered few others who have announced their support for impeachment, those not running for POTUS) but that would most likely be suicide for his campaign.

Some of you seem confused and lost in the fog of awareness of this fact, and don't realize that changing (stopping) that big wheel already in motion (the same one that has a majority in support of it) -- isn't going to be easy; the best approach to effect/affect change is from the inside; and that means closer association to the control switch than the clout of a meer Congressman or Senator.

Of course those now in control should be impeached, but Congress (gangster supporters as they are) don't seem to see things like you and I do. We can scream IMPEACH as loud as we want; we can scream BRING THE TROOPS HOME NOW as loud as we want; we can scream WE WANT OUR UNITED STATES BACK THE WAY IT USED TO BE as loud as we want -- but it truly does little more than give us a false sense of control //

If that was not the truth then why hasn't any of that been done already? Again, it's because certain high-ranking officials (those actually in control) have their sights set in another direction and it's either play by the rules or sink.

Nothing wrong with giving 110-percent (yes, I know that's an over statement) by seriously wanting the position/title of POTUS (in hopes that real change can be directed in hopes of restoring good order and sanity blessed by our Consitution) but taking a stand to intentionally throw 'obstactles' in the way and derailing that possibility (even in the slightest degree, considering what might be the result) seems absolutely simple-minded.

Let's give RON PAUL a little credit here, folks, and realize that the man is intelligent; help get him to the position where he will be in a better position to effect/affect change than he is now (i.e., a single, lowly Congressman, a grain of sand on a beach) // one who would be 100-percent right (as KUCINICH certainly is) in calling for impeachment of those crooks presently in control; but doing so seems words lost on the unpatrioatic ears of those that are in the majority, the ones that continue to support the wheel in motion -- a few can't do it.

Never happen, no way; no matter how loud the hero (KUCINICH) may scream IMPEACH the bastards nows. Even though they deserve it, and worse.

9/11 was an inside job.

Understand?
