ROMNEY WHISPER: More To It
By David Swanson
This is a tale of our upside-down election world. Please read it from the bottom up.
UPDATE #4: I can't confirm this. It comes from Andrew Sullivan:
Some people have enhanced the first "he raised taxes" whisper using audio technology and have discovered that there was actually more to it than just "he raised taxes". They've disconvered that more can be heard: "He raised taxes, I'm not gonna...". Listen to the full enhanced audio yourself. Go out and get a tape and enhance it yourself if you think this is wrong.
This is even greater proof that there is something going on here. If this is correct, then it's not just a microphone malfunction, but an ACTUAL answer to the question Romney was given: "He (Reagan) raised taxes. I'm not going to raise taxes."
UPDATE #3: Having ruled out the possibility that one of the other candidates was whispering to himself, MSNBC has added an update to its blog post concluding that someone in the audience must have been whispering near an "open mic." This is apparently based on nothing other than MSNBC's inability to come up with any other explanation, other than the obvious one. This now reads like a report on an election result that varies wildly from the exit polls. Such a result (if in the United States, abroad the opposite would be true) clearly proves that the exit polls must have been wrong! How do you know? Why, by ruling out the possibility that it was caused by Huckabee whispering to himself. In case shame takes over and the latest MSNBC conclusion gets purged, here it is:
"After reviewing the tapes, NBC determined that an open mic picked up a whisper from the audience. It is unclear who it is that says it, but it was not said by any of the candidates, was not heard in the hall and, more importantly, not heard by the candidates."
How do we know it was not heard by the candidates (not even the one who appears to hear it and repeat it)? Why, because MCNBC tells us so.
Seriously, I can't prove Romney was prompted, but that's the far more likely conclusion than MCNBC's. Maybe if they hired OJ to find the real whisperer I'd take them seriously. If the next debate has strip searches and cavity searches prior to the opening bell, I'll consider even watching it.
UPDATE #2: MSNBC has posted a new blog post acknowledging that people want to know what happened but not offering any explanation. The post claims that MSNBC does not know whose voice is heard whispering, and that MSNBC is reviewing tapes of each of the candidates in order to determine whether it was one of them. This would tend to suggest that MSNBC does not think it was one of their staffers in a control room, and does not think it was one of their staffers feeding ideas to Russert. (I'm still unable to find the readers' comments on this on the MSNBC blog, and if they were deleted the new post says nothing about restoring them.)
UPDATE #1: MSNBC has given Raw Story an explanation that explains nothing, saying Romney's microphone was not working. That's funny: during the whisper, Romney's lips aren't moving. What difference would it have made in any way for his microphone to have been working or not working?
ORIGINAL POST: Romney's (or is it Russert's? or one of the other candidates'?) debate cheating may finally force this collection of evidence of Bush's cheating into the news. Why did MNBC delete its blog post about it (and the reader comments that preceded and were referred to in the blog post)? Please CONTACT THE MEDIA.
We know Bush cheated.
We know almost certainly that somebody just cheated in this latest debate.
We can be pretty sure the media questioners cheat, which - among other reasons - makes them reluctant to report on candidate cheating.
We can suspect that the person who cheated in the latest debate was Romney, but it could have been Russert or one of the other candidates. This blog points out that the whisper begins mighty soon to be a prompt for Russert.
If there's an innocent explanation, such as a random person near an open mic, why the coverup on the blog and the nonsense explanation?

Now you're just clutching at
Now you're just clutching at straws. Stick to the facts...not rumor and heresay. Drop the conspiracy stuff and go with what matters most.
AT LAST - the mask comes off
quick analysis - yep de doo
russert asks question to romney
voice is heard saying 'raise taxes' clearly audible
romney answers question - his reponse features words 'raise taxes'
FOLKS listen up plain as day as the sunshine comes to everyone's homes.
1. voice is real
2. Russert's question was prepared in the fore-knowledge of Romney's response
3. Romney is being coached to not deviate from script
4. voice is Romney's coach
5. Romney's debate coach had the QUESTIONS in advance of the debate
FOLKS, FOLKS, FOLKS.
this is not a debate, it is a televised FARCE
FURTHERMORE:
6. NETWORK compliance = conspiracy against us public
Network culpability
the FCC and the Netowrk has a lot of explaining to do and are prima facie due for an IDICTMENT in a FEDERAL COURT
CAUGHT RED HANDED
by the way, that voice was not picked up by Romney's microphone
that was a direct feed, a network direct feed, that was opened up into the televised feed.
that means the debate coaches are on the network's own carrier
ps: someone is owed some thank you big time - hence: BIG TIME THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!
Mechanisms of Power
How embarrassing it is when the mechanisms of power peak through the curtains. But Russert knows his job well - keep the contraptions behind the curtain well hidden - and deny their existence if necessary.
Romney Whisper
You're assuming that Romney heard the whisper. Have you ever noticed that media people doing interviews have earpieces that they hook up for people they are interviewing because the person speaking, i.e. in this case Romney, doesn't hear what the tv audience hears. This is ludicrous. I think his coming in so quickly after the whisper is evidence that he didn't hear it because he didn't have any kind of pause before he began his response. Besides, the man has a brillant mind and does not need prompting on something as mundane as this. Not only that, he is honest and would not stoop to these tactics. Get a life.
Uh oh. Mr Romney's going to
Uh oh. Mr Romney's going to Mormon hell if he doesn't come clean on this.
Paranoid. BOO! Made you jump.
You do not know Bush cheated. That "story" was one of 2004's biggest gigglers to come out of the fever swamp.
Romney Whisper
Uh, oh. Romney's going to be the Republican nominee. They love the dumbest guy on the block. Romney's whisper, the odd box-like outline under George's jacket (still not explained) during a debate. It's been reported that Ronald Reagan liked using notes on 3x5 cards. I remember an instance in the Rose Garden when Ronnie had to refer to his 3x5 to introduce Nancy. There was also the time when she whispered an audible answer to him after a reporter's question at their California ranch.
2nd analysis
following that there are parts of the US government and it's agencies which are indeed loyal to the oath to protect and defend the US Constitution:
1. voice that is audibly heard saying "rasie taxes" is an overt/covert message to the US Public that:
unsaid/unamed agency has direct knowledge that Russert's question and Romney's response in advance, and therefore interjected the phrase: 'rasie taxes' to let America know that the debate and the question and answers are a farce.
This follows reported "rats" message superimposed a Romney election TV commercial. That was reported as a message from a deep inside unamed US agency.
with either analysis the object is clear: INFORM the AMERICAN PUBLIC to the true nature of these particular televised debates.
all the nay-sayers lunge at the good americans - you will be at each other before you know it and: good riddance.
Is it a debate coach, is it a government watchdog warning...
USA does not go down without a fight, and furthermore won't GO DOWN.
get smart. get real. get american. you'll like it.
