Could Bush Be Prosecuted For War Crimes?
A Nuremberg Chief Prosecutor, 80 year old Benjamin Ferencz, who, at 26 years of age, successfully prosecuted 22 Nazis officers at the Einsatzgruppen Trials, LINK http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Einsatzgruppen_Trial says "there is a case" for trying Bush for the "supreme crime against humanity, an illegal war of aggression against a sovereign nation" LINK http://www.alternet.org/waroniraq/38604/?page=entire. I had the rare privilege of asking Ben a question in person at a recent "War Crimes Panel" sponsored by the Arizona Bar Association, "do the two Authorizations to Use Military Force Resolutions passed by Congress in 2002 and 2003 override the United Nations Charter"? HIS QUICK REPLY "NO, domestic laws do NOT override a signed treaty of the United States" and international laws and treaties. Back to square one. By doing their job and defending the Constitution, the 110th Democratic Congress would upholding "the supreme law of the land", if they choose to do so.
