McCain Wants to Occupy Middle East for Millennia But Believes Sunni and Shiite Are Names of Rock Bands
From CNN:
The misstep in question occurred during a news conference in Jordan earlier Tuesday, when the presumptive Republican presidential nominee repeatedly said Iran was supplying al Qaeda. Iran is predominately a Shiite country and is not aiding the Sunni dominated Al-Qaeda.
McCain ultimately corrected himself after Sen. Joe Lieberman whispered in his ear.
"I'm sorry, the Iranians are training extremists, not al Qaeda. I am sorry," the Arizona senator said.

Inherent Contempt against Miers and Bolten
Whatever happend to ball-less Conyers filing Inherent Contempt charges against Miers and Bolten? Or was that another bullshit publicity stunt intended to fool the American sheeple?
House Judiciary Committee Chair John Conyers (D-MI) introduced two resolutions this afternoon related to the subpoenas. The first is a criminal contempt resolution against White House chief of staff Josh Bolten and former White House counsel Harriet Miers -- both were subpoenaed and did not respond, citing the White House's invocation of executive privilege. But Conyers also filed a resolution that Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) file a civil suit against the White House.

War against all

"It is NOT Medicare and Social Security which is unsustainable. It is the MILITARY budget + continuous warfare which is unsustainable. Yet our main stream media hardly EVER questions those budgets."
War Spending
The war spending is one of the major causes of the economic troubles in America right now, and to ignore or deny that fact only means that it could be repeated and continued.
The point made here though is about medicare and social security, and toss in education and infrastructure too - all things that all Americans need. It has for too long been couched as "socialism" or even "commie thinking" to have government provide these things that all people use anyhow, instead of everyone paying much more for them individually.
Instead, the Republican types spend that money on the war, essentially shovelling huge profits of easy money to their friends the weapons makers, Haliburton, security contractors, etc. [and letting oil corporations take tons of easy Iraqi oil]. What good has all that was spending done for Americans? None, and it was taxpayer money!!
Oh ya - the other major cause of America's economic woes is the "predatory banking scandal", which also shovelled easy money to wealthy Bush friends. Bush managed to mess it up though, even for the bankers, by allowing way too much credit without backing, because he changed the laws about how loans could be done and the bankers all had to play along or be left out [shareholders demanding they get their hands on the homeowners money and houses].
finally, I will just add that in Venezuela, gasoline is about 10 cents per gallon, because oil is not actually any more expensive to produce, or to refine into gasoline, than it was 30 years ago. It is just the bidding for crude in this "arranged market", which benefits oil corporations and the Arab friends of the Bush Family, that gasoline now costs $4 a gallon. Socialist nations do not have to do it that way... it is just a choice.
Screw McCain and Screw Lieberman
Screw McCain and screw Lieberman - two old white men that will soon be relegated to the dung heap of history. Like their masters Bush and Cheney, they are traitors to the Constitution and will hopefully be held accountable for war crimes and treason against the United States of America.

McCain For President
You've all spent too much time corresponding on this website and set your values too high. McCain is a good candidate to follow Bush into the White House. He's not a clue what he's taking about; doesn't know the difference between Shiite, Sunni and Al Qaeda, (The Toilet) and sees long term warfare as good foreign policy. No doubt you would all disapprove if Hillary Clinton became McCain's vice president, John Bolton became the UN president, and Karl Rove was brought back as an ethical advisor.
I also think you should lay off John Conyers, he's working hard to ensure the future of at least one American.
