Clinton Needs 181% of Remaining Delegates

Pledged delegates are awarded by voters and caucus goers. Super-delegates are antidemocratic Party control freaks who have no business deciding anything. Of pledged delegates, now that Oregon and Kentucky have had their say, Senator Obama has 1,648 and Senator Clinton 1,493. There are 86 pledged delegates remaining to be awarded in Puerto Rico, Montana, and South Dakota. This means that Clinton can still pull it out if she picks up 181 percent of the remaining delegates.
This calculation doesn't count the 19 delegates whom John Edwards has encouraged to back Obama, or the delegates pledged to Clinton who have begun flipping for Obama. And it doesn't count Michigan or Florida, where no real contest has ever been run and from which states no delegates are being counted. It also doesn't count the Super Delegates, in which Obama holds a substantial lead.
Experts agree that Clinton stands a good and improving chance of pulling out a victory in the end, given her momentum, determination, and appeal to dumb people. Like soccer moms and Jews for Buchanan before them, dumb people are shaking up this election and coming into their own as an identity group with ever rising "self pride." The group intentionally avoids the term "self esteem" as being too difficult to spell.
"Dump People for Hilary" [sic] bumper stickers are showing up across the country and being shipped by the truck load to South Dakota, Montana, and Puerto Rico. (The trucks to Puerto Rico have been driving off bridges in the Florida Keys.) The stickers and other "dumb people" paraphernalia are being paid for by the Clinton campaign, even while the campaign's supporters have organized to stop making contributions and instead buy lottery tickets in all 50 states.
While her husband's campaign headquarters in 1992 famously posted a sign reading "It's the economy, stupid," Hillary Clinton's now boasts a three-foot high quote from H.L. Mencken:
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."
Senator Obama has faltered in trying to portray himself as one of the dump people too, but Senator McCain has taken advantage of the latest election trend in a major way by inviting President Bush to join him on the campaign trail.

First off, it's "Dumb people for Hillary" not "Dump People for Hillary", but I expect you will fix the typo in your post so no one reading this will understand what I am saying, that is, if you don't censor my post like you did some of the others. Ah huh. Free Speech alive and well on Afterdowningsteet.org, eh?
If Hillary needs over 100% of the remaining delegates to take the nomination, well then so does Obama. So what is the point of singling out Hillary (whom I do not support). I do, however support Democracy, you know that EVERY voter should have the ability to cast their, and that pundits, the MSM and otherwise, YOU!, stop calling who has already won the primaries when states still have yet to vote. The only thing official about the nomination is that the process is not yet over. And the only official outcome is that which transpires at the convention itself, and that which the Dem Party itself put in place long ago.
And David, what's with the elitism and anti-semitism? "Like soccer moms and Jews for Buchanan". Do real progressives call people dumb? Or single out Jews? After Downing Street is starting to sound the like the same old boys party network and the S.O.S.

Wow. It's not a typo, it's the author showing that the dumb people are so dumb that they create a ridiculous bumper sticker. You need to realize this is a satirical article and lighten up a tiny bit.

This billary supporter is too thick to see that the "dump" is a joke misprint having an ambiguous meaning. Hillary's mention of Mugabe is projection, since I suspect that, based on her campaign methods, her method of rule would be similar.
Not anti-semitic
I believe the author was referencing the unbelievable number of votes received by Pat Buchanan (a near-nazi) during the 2000 presidential election from Palm Beach County, FL. PB county has a very large Jewish population.
The real problem appeared to be the extremely confusing "butterfly ballot" where the holes to punch did not line up with the names for the candidates. Al Gore's name was next to the hole that counted for Buchanan.
So we sometimes joke, here in Florida, that there must be a stealth organization called "Jews for Buchanan".

"Dump people for hillary" is satire, don't you get it? Obama is about 180 delegates ahead, so hillary needs more votes than exist - don't you get it? hillary voted for the war on Iraq, voted for cluster bombs, made threats to "obliderate" Iran, and claimed the "White" vote. Don't you get why so many have concluded she is a warmonger, or a serial lier, who will say and do anything to get the nomination and unitary presidency she so covets. If 'h' had shown compassion and wisdom, instead of war votes and threats to obliderate a country of 70 million (with the majority of Iran being women and children) Then maybe she would have gotten my vote and millions more. But like several other canidates who voted for the war, she lost to Obama who voiced strong opposition to what he called a "dumb" war. Maybe 'h' supporters are too dumb to understand how dumb warmongering, and racism, and nuke'm threats are in today's World. But then 'h' was at the bottom of her class, so maybe that is why she makes so many dumb statements, and attracts dumb supporters.
