GREAT NEWS!! We have a candidate to challenge Jerry Nadler for his failure to use his power as a member of the House Judiciary Committee to help unblock impeachment proceedings against this immoral, illegal administration!! David Eisenbach is announcing his candidacy at Community Free Democrats General Membership Meeting, on Thursday, May 22, 7:30 PM. Below is a short bio and the details of the meeting.

We’re a bunch of progressive New Yorkers, some from AskNadler2Impeach.Org, some from Progressive Democrats of America, old Kucinich supporters, Green party dissidents, war resisters, civil libertarians. But we’re in formation and the time is now. The most important job we MUST accomplish is to get 1250 valid signatures from registered Democrats in Nadler’s District, the 8th Congressional District, on nominating petitions to get David Eisenbach on the ballot between June 3rd and July 10th. You just have to be a registered Democrat in New York State to ask people to sign the petition.
OUR CANDIDATE
David Eisenbach is a historian and an expert on media and politics. He received a B.A. in modern European history from Columbia University, an M.A. in history education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an M.A. and a PhD in American history from the Columbia Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. At Columbia he teaches courses on the U.S. presidency, media, politics, the great works of Western literature and philosophy, American history, Shakespeare's tragedies, and the literature of the 1960s at the Manhattan School of Music.
David Eisenbach's first book, Gay Power: An American Revolution, published in June 2006, is a history of how the gay rights movement in the 1960s and 1970s transformed American politics and society.
He was the communications director for Senator Mike Gravel's 2008 presidential election campaign.

Nadler Has Closed His History Books
The Constitution is the very foundation of American History, and every generation of Americans has answered the call to defend this document above all else, except for Rep Jerry Nadler, who, during his entire term of 2 years as Chairman of his Sub-Committee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Human Rights, has let this cherished document gather dust on a shelf in his office, without conducting a single impeachment hearing on the "privileged" impeachment Bill 333/799.

The Illusion of Democracy
The time for signing petitions, writing letters, phone calls and emails and protesting are over. These things are the illusion of democracy, the powers that be are very happy to let us indulge in such useless activities as long as they know that there jobs are secure and that they can ignore us with impunity. And ignore us they do.
Our only real power we have is our vote and financial support, this is the only way we can get their attention and to get rid of them if they do not pay attention.
Cindy Sheehan and David Eisenbach have exactly the right idea in running against Pelosi and Nadler; if they refuse to listen to us then get rid of them. Now who is running against John "Uncle Tom" Conyers?
It is time for the anti war impeachment movement to put it's money where it's mouth is and support these candidates. The only way we can change this war mongering congress is to throw out the war mongers and elect peace candidates. This is more important then even electing Barrack Obama. With a truly independengt congress no president would be able to start a useless unnecessary war!

The illusion of impeachment
All the activities you described in your reply can not be over, because that is the only possibility we have getting our points across. Depending on people to vote them out is an absolute worthless suggestion, because there are not enough people to make the difference. Changing our hate mongering dispositions to an attitude of convincing voters in a reasonable way, would be more productive. No wonder they ignore us. If we want to continue and waste our money on causes we never win, I can't stop it.
Sheehan and Eisenbach to replace Pelosi and Nadler sounds like music in my ears, but as long as someone in the band is beating on the wrong drum, Cindy and David are history before we know it. Uncle Tom is just that, an Uncle Tom, with us failing to realize that Uncle Tom's have played a significant role in American history and no Cindy Sheehan or David Eisenbach is going to change that. This is just as useless trying to elect Barack Obama, who, if he had been an Uncle Tom would possibly have had a chance, but all the radical baggage around his neck is preventing him from swimming. The sugar coated bitter pills the far right is trying to sell us, are far more effective than the divisive far left, spreading nothing but hatred around, so vicious, that even some participators don't like themselves looking in the mirror. Their endorsement of Obama is like throwing fuel on the fire of discontent, worse than the garbage Wright contributed. Even Obama has not learned that the impression of sincerity would go a lot farther than his display of arrogance. For some reasons and I don't know why, we always seem to blow it, even against a candidate who is still trying to work himself out of the cellar. We have to find somebody important to fight for the cause. Somebody with class and fortitude to gather around, instead of the has been politicians, movie stars and bleeding hearts. This website is full of them and they haven't moved me one bit. Somebody with an agenda making us proud again. Not the: "Yes we can" phrase, because that all it is, just a phrase. The substance behind the phrase is missing. The disturbing factor is that people are shouting:"Yes we can" and don't even know what it means, or what it entails. It's just a phrase people get riled up about. Stop believing in all the garbage you hear and read and before you take sides, investigate the source.
