Nor is the U.S media corps honest in their reporting. The Iraqi people have suffered inhumain injustices to their families, homes, communities and now won't reap the benefits of oil in their own land. (Especially since 4 million have had to flee.) and on top will have to pay millions, for what WE have caused. Because I'm Republican no more and the halls of our government and military need to be cleansed. You failed the people of Iraq, you failed the people of America, you failed the people of the world.but as we know, they were never your interest. I have no words for the anger, shame, humiliation, degradation you have put on us all as Americans. McCain is just another bought Republican Washington boy. I don't know if we will ever be able to live the Bush era down, it's been too destructive on every level. And by the way, I never voted for Bush because I didn't trust him. The blood of our American soldiers and all the Iraqi people be on your head.

The problem is that they are NOT running this country; they are too busy trying to run--and ruin--the world. The U.S. of A. has NEVER been in such a catastrophic, hell-bound state as long as there has been a U.S.of A.. People speak of the "Great" Depression almost in a reverential tone. I think what's lying across our path in the future will make that era pale. How can any intelligent "leader" want more war and the financial burden it will bring on top of the Iraq drain and STILL propose tax cuts and continue to send "toys" into outer space at the cost of billions. I believe that I might survive the coming depression and the crippling of America by going into the bomb shelter business. When the gas goes, so goes this country and what's left of its sanity.

Since George W. Bush and Dick Cheney are so hell-bent on attacking Iran, especially as the current financial system is in a free-fall toward rock bottom, it should come as no surprise that if an attack against Iran is launched, it would provide the perfect cover for the immediate implimentation of Homeland Security Presidential Directive 20, National Security Presidential Directive 50 and all of the provisions and contingencies contained in both the "John Warner Defense Act" and the "Continuity of Government Act", effectively shutting down Congress, the shifting of all civilian government functions to the military (including the use of private militias to enforce martial law) and destroying what's left of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

With the specter of the Iranian "boogeyman" brought to the forefront, this would have the effect of effectively terrifying the American people into a state of smallness, cowardice and perpetual fearfulness, which would take their minds off of the collapsing economy -- and away from taking political action at the grassroots level -- and focus it on the emotions of fear, terror, paranoia and the belief in "virtuous victimhood".

This is why it's absolutely necessary to defeat McCain and the "do-nothing, know-nothing" Democrats who have enabled Bush/Cheney to bring us to the very edge of fascism, because we now stand upon a very slippery slope, indeed, and all it takes is one good push to send us plummeting headlong into the fascist's abyss ...
