BAILIFF!
WHACK HIS PEE-PEE!!!
What a sad performance by Conyers et al. Spineless isn't strong enough to cover the cowering crew of "investigators"! "Come obey the law...pretty please.
I guess I'll go out and rob a grocery store and just decide not to show for hearing. Hmmmm. I wonder what would happen to me?
I say throw the bastard in chains and drag him into the room by his ears. He wanted to create a fascist police state, let's show him fascist police state!
Founding Father George Mason argued...
at the Constitutional Convention that the president might use his pardon power to "pardon crimes which were advised by himself", or, before indictment or conviction, to stop inquiry and prevent detection, to which his esteemed colleague James Madison replied, "if the President be connected in any suspicious manner with any person, and there be grounds to believe he will shelter him, the House of Representatives can impeach him. They can remove him if found guilty".
James Madison went to say that "the President could be suspended when suspected, and his powers would devalue on the Vice President, who could likewise be suspended until impeached and convicted, if he were also suspected", from a Report within and released by the House Judiciary Committee in 1974 in the aftermath of the Watergate crisis.
Will the "should have..." Chairman John Conyers schedule an impeachment hearing, as warranted by George Mason and James Madison above, or will he "hem and haw" his way to a close of the 110th Democratic Congres?
Most certainly this "should have..." Chairman will document everything for his next noteworthy Article on "Why Cheney and Bush Should Have Been Impeached", as a follow up to his first acclaimed Article on "Why Nixon Should Have Been Impeached" by John Conyers Jr Link CLICK HERE http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/2/4/95218/85782
Crimes against the Constitution required him to act looking back.
The Great Disgrace
As one who contributed to Mr. Conyer's request for donations to support his investigation into Administration crimes, I have been disappointed and disgusted by the Potemkin Paper Tiger that Congress has become. Conyers and others repeatedly issue subpoenae and then do nothing when the recipients turn up their noses and refuse even to appear to assert any privilege.
The cowardly congress of the years of republican control has continued its disgraceful existence in the democratically controlled congress. They shame themselves and the history of the United States and are nothing more than willing collaborators in the criminal enterprise that American government has become.
To quote myself, "Elected officials are like fish--all guts removed before serving."
