House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers, Jr. (D-MI) today announced plans to review allegations that senior Bush Administration officials ordered the forgery and dissemination of false intelligence documents as reported by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Ron Suskind, in his new book, "The Way of the World: A Story of Truth and Hope in an Age of Extremism."
"Mr. Suskind reports that the Bush Administration, in its pursuit of war, created and promoted forged documents about Iraq," said Conyers. "I am particularly troubled that the decision to disseminate this fabricated intelligence is alleged to have come from the highest reaches of the administration. The administration’s attempt to challenge Mr. Suskind’s reporting appears to have been effectively dismissed by the publication of the author’s interview recordings and transcripts. I have instructed my staff to conduct a careful review of Mr. Suskind’s allegations and the role played by senior administration officials in this matter."
A number of issues raised in Mr. Suskind’s book to be reviewed include:
- The origin of the allegedly forged document that formed the basis for Bush’s 2003 State of the Union assertion that Iraq sought yellowcake uranium from Niger;
- The role of this document in creating the false impression that 9/11 hijacker Mohammed Atta had a working relationship with Iraq;
- The relationship between this document and other reported examples of the Bush Administration considering other deceptive schemes to justify or provoke war with Iraq, such as the reported consideration of painting a U.S. aircraft with UN colors in order to provoke Iraq into military confrontation;
- Allegations that the Bush Administration deliberately ignored information from Iraq’s chief intelligence officer that Iraq possessed no WMDs;
- The payment of $5 million to Iraq’s chief intelligence officer and his secret settlement in Jordan, beyond the reach of investigators;
- The September 2007 detainment and interrogation of Mr. Suskind’s research assistant, Greg Jackson, by federal agents in Manhattan. Jackson’s notes were also confiscated.

More worthless babble from Conyers
Bush's own intel community was telling him in 2002 that the Niger/uranium claim could not be substantiated, to the point that they insisted on its removal from a late 2002 Bush speech. The documents purporting to reveal the deal are grade school quality forgeries, using names of officals that had been out of office for more than ten years when the deal supposedly happened. But the cons threw the bogus claim into the 2003 SOU anyway, no doubt as part of the effort to close the sale of their fraudulent invasion of Iraq to the American people.
And Conyers is just now getting around to investigating it?
Spare us the hot air and do your job, Mr. Conyers. Start impeachment hearings now, or just keep your mouth shut and live by the terms of whatever illicit deal you have made with the traitors you are enabling.

Think this 'ill be enough to keep 'em at least partially satisfy while not doing anything to "upset the apple cart?" ...to diminish Democrats' chances in November? ...to avoid being assassinated? ...to avoid provoking Republicans into exposing the complicity of Democrats in the war? ...to avoid provoking Republicans into canceling elections and taking over the government?
If you fulfill your duties, Democrats will win as they have won after fulfilling their duties.
Nothing--not even avoiding assassination--is worth avoiding your responsibilities to those who you have helped send to their deaths in Iraq and who you continue to send to their deaths. Life is sometimes tough. Buck up!

Felony Violation, Patriot Act. False information on terrorism.
Cheney and bush committed felony violations of the USA Patriot Act when they provided false information on terrorism by forging national security intelligence documents on terrorism that asserted associations between Saddam Hussein, (Iraq), Al Qaeda and terrorism. cheney and bush's actions were serious and egregous felony violations of the USA Patriot when bush and cheney provided false information on terrorism. It is a felony violation of the USA Patriot Act to provide false information on terrorism, a serious and egregious felony violation.
Suskind, according to Wolf Blitzer, accuses bush and cheney of using the Whitehouse, (and the stationary belonging to the Whitehouse), and acting in collusion with the CIA to forge national security documents and then provide those documents on terrorism, (knowing they were false), to another party.
Providing false information on terrorism is a serious and egregious felony violation of the USA Patriot Act.
If documents were forged by the CIA and the whitehouse, (cheney and bush), that were used to promote the idea that Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda were connected and were involved in terrorist activities in Iraq is providing information on terrorism that is false, and is indeed conspiracy to provide false information on terrorism.
