Please, David!

Don't remove these TWO visionary’s Interviews UNTIL THE Election Day.

PERHAPS The two MOST prominent THINKERS of the LEFT are saying exactly what we have been saying about the 3rd Party’s.

I agree THAT the LOGIC decision should be: VOTE FOR NO McCAIN which is vote for OBAMA like KUCINICH DID.

SOME TASKS ARE SO INMENSE THAT THEY HAVE TO BE ACOMPLISED LITTLE BY LITTLE!

AND VOTE EARLY!

Good argument

This is the first good argument I have ever heard for the "lesser of two evils" voting. Nader and the other 3rd parties are building a following of a large number of people. If these people can be lead by all the third party presidential candidates working together in a coordinated grass-roots effort for change, there might be hope. Nader has never assumed he would be elected. He has always worked from within the system up until he was screwed out starting in the Carter administration and finished off by Reagen. He runs because he believes somebody has to do it! If you have the chance to see the movie "An unreasonable man". you will see what I mean by that. Now the chance is there for him to work for change using the network he has created by running for President in a different way. I hope that happens!

Such timing!

Considering my comments above, I just received this email from "marty krase"

HERE IS EXACTLY WHAT I HOPED FOR:

----------------------------

Hey! As you may all know by now…I am volunteering on the Nader/Gonzalez '08 campaign. One of my responsibilities is to organize a network of people that are NOT necessarily voting for them, but support their theory of governmental reform. It is unfortunate that being as evolved as a society we are, our choices are very limited. The right is swinging left, and the left is swinging right. If nothing is done, our choices become even fewer. We know that he probably is not winning the election, so our focus is on reform. So what this is all about is improving our future system, through community congresses and citizen unions, to acquire the legislative action that we desperately need! So, this is Nader/Gonzalez's 10 solutions to shift the power from the corporations-to the people, where it belongs:

1) No wall street bailouts
2) Ensure a living wage ($9.36)
3) End the Iraq war (6 month withdrawal of all troops)
4) Single payer health care
5) Investment in renewable energy (solar first)
6) Repeal the Patriot Act
7) Enact a workers' bill of rights
8) Reform the elections (allow all parties to debate, no electronic voting)
9) Create "green" jobs to end poverty
10) Reverse US Middle East Policy

I think that all of these can hit home for us, or someone we know…so it's important that we create a network of supporters for some/all of these solution to reform our current government. If you support these reforms: what I need from you is…Your name, email address, and zip code in a message, so that you could be informed of/involved with a citizen congress, supporting these platforms. This is very important to me, and it is vital that I coordinate these contacts, so that action can be taken! I really appreciate you taking the time to read this, and I hope to hear back from you with your support! If you want any further information on Nader/Gonzalez '08 you can go to votenader.org, or contact me personally. Thanks again for your help! Sincerely, Lauren Garnett Nader/Gonzalez 2008 Votenader.org

If you are already on our list that great. Now send this to everyone you know so that they to have the option to keep informed and to be apart of a congressional watch dog group to hold our representatives accountable!

i never remove anything

but things do drift down off the front page

David, Ahem...?

"I never remove anything"....ahem, really? I'm sure you've removed posts of mine with which you personally disagreed, long before they drifted down off the front page.

Absolutely nothing is absolute.

SOLIDARITY WILL WIN OUR AMERICA BACK!!!

Thanks, jlennon. Thank you God!

UNITE IN SOLIDARITY > WE MUST DEFEAT MCCAIN!!!

An improvement!

Yank,

"UNITE IN SOLIDARITY > WE MUST DEFEAT MCCAIN!!!"

This is a major improvement in your thinking. At least you are not demeaning me and my candidate with this one.

We both agree that McCain is total band news from start to finish. Obama is CLEARLY the lesser of the two evils! I think the pol numbers show that the American people are starting to realize that.

HOWEVER: If you listen carefully, neither of these men say that the lesser of the two evils candidate (Obama) will change anything in any dramatic way. They clearly say that the change must come from grass roots activism. FROM US! I propose that the organizations put together by the independent and third party candidates can be a force to spear-head this grass roots movement. I also know that this is, in large part, Nader's reason for running for president. He does not expect to win. It is certainly my reason for supporting him against insurmountable odds!

Al

I have been trying to offset demeaning posts, even lies about Obama , for months, especially from "third parties" in order to focus on Mccain's continuation of the Bush Doctrine, warmongering and Neoconism. It has been a frustrating ordeal.

The election process vets all candidates to the bitter end, and my choice , Dennis Kucinich, dropped out a few months ago, after it was clear he could no longer would win the Democrat nomination (mainly MSM's fault, IMHO ) . Personally, I felt he did not want to damage any possibility of the Democrat race against the Republicans (who have been hijacked by the Neocons.) I do not believe Mr. Kucinich thinks the Democrat Party is perfect, I think he believes Republicans during this era of American history are far, far worse.

As far as Ralph Nader is concerned , I no longer know what to think of him, I am afraid to "go there". Bless his heart, his intentions were good, at one time , I believe, but he has become an Unreasonable Man. For someone who supposedly has always believed in the Public Good, I do not, for the life of me, understand why he thinks running for president at this point in history is for the Common Good. These last eight years have been the GREATER of two evils.

Many of us who hold our noses when voting for change are actually voting for America, not the candidate. I am glad that you relate to someone who can present an argument for the LESSER of two evils better than I. They make a good case for solidarity.

More improvement

Yank,

I'm encouraged by what you say. Your view of Nader is still a bit off though. It is interesting that you called him "an unreasonable man". It just so happens that a documentary film that is actually distributed by the Nader campaign is actually called "An unreasonable man"! I suggest that you find and watch this film. It will explain very well what your are missing about this man. The film runs for 2 hours and takes you from his childhood right up to today. You will find out why he runs for president and why he no longer works behind the scenes as he used to do. It also explains the situation this country is in and how the two major parties have gotten us where we are. This film is a MUST SEE no matter who you vote for!
