Peace Activists Arrested at White House

On Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, just after noon, about 60 activists were arrested at the White House for failing to obey a police order. The nonviolent “Civil Resistance” action was the largest such antiwar demonstration at this particular site, since President Barack Obama took office. Hundreds more participated in the event, but chose not to get arrested. Some of those arrested wore orange jump suits and black hoods. A few had chained themselves to the White House fence. “Peace Mom,” Cindy Sheehan was one of those arrested. According to the press release of the sponsoring groups the action was carried out in order to focus attention on ending the U.S. war in Afghanistan and the U.S. occupation of Iraq; stopping the U.S. drone bombings in Pakistan; and to demand the closing, as a moral and legal issue, of the Gitmo and Bagram prisons. The activists also want the culpable members of the Bush-Cheney Gang brought to the Bar of Justice for their role in sanctioning and carrying out the illegal policy of torture.

Credibly Accused War Criminal George W. Bush Remains At Large
Here is Cindy Sheehan, a devoted mother who gave her all, her most precious son Casey, killed unlawfully fighting in George W. Bush's war against Iraq on totally false pretenses and big lies, handcuffed, led off from the White House public sidewalk by police for calling for redress from her government as guaranted by the blood of our Founding Fathers and countless generations of brave American patriots who shed their blood and gave their very lives defending the nation's Constitution and our solemn right and duty as Americans to dissent from the tyranny of government. Obama/Biden/Holder/Pelosi/Reid, and all the others who swore an oath to defend the Constitution were not there on the sidewalk to support or defend Cindy or give her comfort-all of them weaklings in their high offices not up to their solemn duties. The credibly accused war criminal and mass murderer of innocents, George W. Bush, and his cohort in credible crimes, Richard B. Cheney, remain at large in our communities, secure in their titles and offices, put above the rule of law, and not subject to the bounds or restraints of the Constitution, protected by their official status and not held to account or prosecuted for their credible crimes against the nation and the Constitution. May the name Cindy Sheehan be exalted to the heights of America's greatest patriots and may the names George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney rot forever on the trash heap of history, along with the names of the 107th Republican Congress (Hastert/Frist) all the way to the 111th Democratic Congress(Pelosi/Reid) - "Hold Cheney/Bush Accountable For Their Credible Crimes" Link
