Progressive Democrats of America Impeachment Actions

This guide is being provided to suggest ideas and actions that you can take to help ensure the impeachment of President George Bush and Vice President Richard Cheney. We encourage you to use any or all of these tools and to be creative.

1. Plug into your PDA CD Point Person. PDA is organized by congressional district. To find your CD Point Person click here: http://pdamerica.org/orgs/cdpp.php.

2. Consider becoming a CD Point Person, if your congressional district is not yet represented. To apply, go here: http://pdamerica.org/orgs/cdpp-form.php.

3. Develop a Chapter from which to organize your efforts. It only takes five motivated and like-minded people to get one going. To learn about starting one, go here: http://pdamerica.org/tools/pda/PDAHowtoStartChapterBooklet.pdf.

4. Buy "Impeach Bush & Cheney" buttons and bumper stickers, and sell them at local events, fairs, conventions, etc. Order buttons here: https://www.pdamerica.org/impeach-button.php.

5. Pass an impeachment resolution at your state party, city councils, and state legislatures. For a sample resolution visit: http://www.afterdowningstreet.org/?q=node/8104.

6. Write letters to the editor. Congress members are in there home districts for the next few days, so now is a great time to reach them along with the rest of the population.

7. Think up a clever slogan and do some "Human Billboarding".

8. Support Rep, John Conyers resolution HR 635. Rep. John Olver (MA) agreed recently to co-sponsor this bill, joining 23 others. Read about it: http://pdamerica.org/articles/chapters/ma-2006-02-16.php.

9. Do tabling and leafleting at rallies, meetings, and other events. An impeachment flier will be available in the tools section of our web site soon.

10. Throw an "Impeachment Party" and show "The Case for Impeachment" DVD.

11. Order the soon-to-be-available PDA promotional DVD. Approximately five minutes long and a great introduction to PDA. Available soon on our web site.
